Fiona and Eris Gleeson, with established careers in medicine and law, had a sideline project – a vineyard – in the magnificent Hilltops Wine Region near Young in NSW. When they decided to release a wine under their own brand they wanted the label to reference the goldmining history in the area. The label design combines the B and the R of the brand name with a streak / flecks of gold. The textured timber background relates to the product name Timbercutter Shiraz. This background texture can change to suit extensions to the range while maintaining a strong visual continuity.
The BR branding was also reduced to a simple black and gold generic version and a single colour option for use on a generic carton.
